About
the Artist Theresa Pedrotti was born Theresa Panagou in Attleboro, Massachusetts. She received her BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design where she developed skills in pigment/paint making. She is a rock collector, and makes the pigment she uses from rocks, minerals and colored earths she finds and purchases. The binding media she uses is traditional egg tempera. She has been painting with this media for eleven years. Her stylistic influences include Paleolithic art, Eastern Orthodox icons, Japanese prints, Persian miniatures, classical Greek sculpture, and Ana Mendieta. All artwork © 2004 Theresa
